FCF Capital Inc. Announces Executive Appointment
CALGARY, ALBERTA–(Marketwired – April 25, 2016) – FCF Capital Inc. (TSX VENTURE:FCF) (the “Corporation” or “FCF Capital”) is pleased to announce James Bell has been appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Corporation. Mr. Bell is a corporate and securities lawyer with over 15 years of experience. Mr. Bell has served as General Counsel for Olympia Financial Group Inc. and its wholly-owned subsidiary Olympia Trust Company (a non-deposit taking trust company) for the last six years and was a partner of an international law firm prior thereto. In addition, Mr. Bell serves as a director of Paramount Resources Ltd. (a publicly traded energy company listed on the TSX). Mr. Bell graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1999. He successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course and the Partners, Directors and Senior Officers Qualifying Course in 2014.
Mr. Bell has been an independent director of the Corporation since February 23, 2016, but will now be considered a non-independent board member as a result of his joining the Corporation’s executive team. The Corporation continues to have a majority of its Board of Directors as independent as Messrs. Ward, McRae, Lacavera and Gratton are each independent (with only Messrs. Reid and Bell being non-independent directors).
